DC Comics and IDW Publishing are working together on a new anthology one-shot titled Love Is Love with proceeds to benefit Equality Florida and its fund for the victims and family members from the Orlando nightclub shooting on June 12, 2016. First reported by the New York Times, the project is being spear-headed by writer Marc Andreyko, with Batwoman - a openly gay superhero character he has written in the past -- on the cover.

“I’m a child of the 80s; I grew up with We Are the World and Live Aid. Events like this shouldn’t be compartmentalized,” said Andreyko. “They should hurt and we should want to change for the better.”

Andreyko has recruited writers and artists from both the comic book industry and broader entertainment business, including Phil Jimenez, Olivier Coipel, Damon Lindelof, and Patton Oswalt.

Scheduled to be released in December via IDW Publishing, the 144-page Love Is Love anthology will retail for $9.99.
