Fox's Gotham hasn't even reached the debut of Batman yet, but already Bruce Wayne actor David Mazouz is looking ahead to meeting Superman.
“That'd be amazing. I mean, it might be difficult to work out with the producers and all that kind of stuff, but I would love it,” Mazouz told IGN of the possibility of a Superman-themed Easter egg on the show. “Like I said, as a Batman fan, that would be awesome. ... Going back to the Superman, you know, Clark Kent as a teenager saves a busload of kids from drowning, right? It would just be really cool to just start a scene in the GCPD and just pan, like start on a newspaper that says, 15-year-old boy in Metropolis saves busload of kids from drowning. And then just pan up and have a regular scene that has nothing to do with the ... throw a little hint.”
Superman and Batman have widely and unofficially been considered the provenance of DC movies rather than TV, however CW's Supergirl recently added Tyler Hoechlin in the role of Superman, making the possibility of a TV Batman somewhat less unlikely.
Gotham season 3 premieres September 19 on Fox.
