20th Century Fox's planned movie adaptation of Who Is Jake Ellis? has hired James White director Josh Mond, according to Deadline. Based on the creator-owned series by Nathan Edmondson and Toncji Zonjic, the adaptation's title has now been shortened simply to Jake Ellis.

According to the Hollywood trade, the hiring of Mond is part of an overall second take on the project. Harry Potter director David Yates and Hannah screenwriter Seth Lochhead were originally attached to the project, but Fox and partner studio Chernin Entertainment are now looking for a new screenwriter.
