Jared Leto's Joker and Ben Affleck's Batman may have a brief meeting in Suicide Squad, but for Leto, that's not enough. The actor wants a full-on face of between the Dark Knight Detective and the Clown Prince of Crime.

“I think it would be incredible to see Batman and the Joker go head-to-head!” Leto told The Toronto Sun. “This Batman and this Joker. I mean, I don’t know, that might be too much! But that would be fun.”

Affleck's Batman was widely lauded as one of the best parts of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And with Leto's Joker being one of the most hyped parts of Suicide Squad, if the latter movie is a hit, it seems like a lock that he'll appear again, likely in Affleck's Batman film.

Either way, Leto says he's ready to continue playing the character in DC's Cinematic Universe.

“I hope [Suicide Squad is] an introduction (of the Joker) … and not the end! Because I could easily just play the Joker a couple more times and then retire. Because it’s so fulfilling and so creative and it’s so imaginative. It’s really difficult to think about doing anything else!”

Suicide Squad may not show the Joker's origins - even if it's the beginning of this take on the character - but it may show how Harley Quinn became his main squeeze. Leto recently shared some photos of Joker and Harley on his Instagram, including a shot of the pair together, showing Harley pre-transformation.
