Possible bad news for fans of Adrienne Palicki's Mockingbird from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. According to Deadline, the actress has reportedly booked a lead role in an upcoming sci-fi comedy series at Fox with Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane.

Marvel Television had big plans for Palicki's Mockingbird earlier this year, as the co-lead in a spin-off show titled Marvel's Most Wanted. Palicki was written out of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in part for this spin-off show, but ABC ultimately declined the show after a pilot was filmed.

Speaking at Comic-Con International: San Diego, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. co-showrunner Jed Whedon addressed Mockingbird's possible return to the show, saying only "It's classified." Being cast in a new show would make it difficult for Palicki to co-star in two hour-long shows on different networks, but MacFarlane's series is reportedly limited to 13 episodes, meaning Palicki could return to S.H.I.E.L.D. after it wraps.

This purported new Fox show with MacFarlane follows a space-faring family aboard The Orville. Palicki will reportedly play MacFarlane's character's ex-wife. No premiere date for the series has been set.
