Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta, the creators of Marvel's Miss America Chavez, have taken their concept and turned it into an all new, creator-owned hero named America Vasquez. America Vasquez will star in All America Comix, debuting in 2017 from Image Comics.

"You wanted it! You got it! She is a hero for our time — and the time is NOW! A superpowered champion of the oppressed, AMERICA VASQUEZ is the one you've been waiting for! And this may be her greatest adventure of all," Reads the solicitation text provided to The Hollywood Reporter). "When she is confronted with the hidden secrets of the universe, you won't believe the cosmic truth she uncovers! Issue #1 hits — and we do mean HITS — in 2017 from Image Comics!"

Little else is known about the story or character, however America Chavez, the character Casey and Dragotta created for Marvel, has the power to travel between realities, making America Vasquez an obvious parallel to their other creation.

Keep in mind that their Miss America character is based on the Golden Age Marvel character, the original Miss America.

Despite being a fan-favorite, she has never received her own series. The phrasing "The time is NOW!" could reference to the character's lack of a new title in the upcoming Marvel NOW! relaunch.
