Hot on the heels of an announced WWE/BOOM! Studios licensing deal, the Los Angeles-based publisher has announced plans (via IGN) for six one-page comic strips to be sold from BOOM! Studios' booth at Comic-Con International: San Diego this year.
Titled WWE: Now. Then. Forever, each of these six strips will highlight one of WWE's performers - three from the present ("Now."), two from the past ("Then"), and one dubbed a "legendary member of the WWE pantheon" ("Forever.") Each will have a pin-up of the performer on one side, with a one-page "info-comic" relating their backstory on the opposite side. Daniel Bayliss will illustrate each of the mini-comic, with guest artists doing the pin-up.
The wrestling stable the New Day, are said to be making an appearance at BOOM!'s SDCC booth on Thursday, July 21. On Saturday, BOOM! will host a WWE-themed panel where more details about the new partnership will be revealed.
