Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju, who plays the Wildling leader Tormund Giantsbane on the HBO drama, has reportedly joined the cast of Justice League as an ancient Atlantean king, according to IGN.

According to the online news site, Hivju was distinctively used in concept art for Justice League on display to press on the London set. He will reportedly appear in the role in a flashback sequence that shows the Atlanteans hiding a Mother Box eons in the past. Aquaman will also reportedly retrieve his famous trident from the king's tomb.

Like the Atlanteans, it seems the Amazons will also possess a Mother Box, as does Cyborg, whose fusion with the New Gods tech was seen in Batman v Superman - something that, according to costume designer Michael Wilkinson, allows Cyborg to change his shape and turn his limbs into weapons.

Justice League is scheduled to hit theaters November 17, 2017.
