Though the details of Marvel's August Civil War II tie-in one-shots The Fallen and The Accused are still scarce (technically "classified"), new information released by Diamond Comic Distributors to comic book retailers suggests that the titles are linked on some level to a pair of prominent Marvel characters.

Rather than tying ordering discounts for both one-shots to single issue involved in the Civil War II event - for example Civil War II #0 - Marvel has specifically linked orders of The Fallen to Invincible Iron Man #7, which hit shelves March 2, while The Accused ordering incentives has been linked to May 18's Spider-Man #4.

While that doesn't conclusively point to an in-story connection, linking Invincible Iron Man and Spider-Man to the one-shots suggests that there could be a thematic connection to the titles-characters. However, little is known about The Fallen and The Accused beyond the titles - even the creative teams remain undisclosed.

Marvel declined to comment on any potential connection.

The Accused hits shelves August 10, while The Fallen arrives August 17 with Civil War II #5
