This week, reports surfaced that actress Brie Larson was in early talks to portray Carol Danvers in Marvel's Captain Marvel film, but if she does land the role she may have to brush up on her comic book street cred. As of about a year ago, the actress apparenty had no idea who the character is.

"Isn't that a boy?" Larson asked MTV UK last year promoting Room when presented with the idea of playing Marvel's first female headliner. "I thought I would be stuck playing female roles, but I'm down to play Chris Evans," she joked, before realizing her mistake.

"Oh wait - Chris Evans is Captain America. Who's Captain Marvel?"

"I have no idea what I'm talking about," she joked. "But people want me to play this? Great. I guess I have to start reading the comic book."
