We don't yet know much about actor/writer/director Ben Affleck's upcoming solo Batman film with co-writer Geoff Johns, but a red carpet interview with Argentinian news outlet Cines Argentinos from the Mexican premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may give some insight into what direction the film might take.

"I think what I would do is probably what Zack [Snyder] did with [Batman v Superman]," Affleck explained. "Which is to borrow things from the great comic books, and put an original story around it. I wouldn’t want the fans to already know the story, but I would borrow and steal great things that have been done before in the comics."

Meanwhile, Affleck's Batman v Superman co-star Henry Cavill has some ideas on where he'd like Superman to wind up in the upcoming Justice League - presuming he's returned from being seemingly dead in time.

"I want to see that rivalry between Batman and Superman about who is in charge," said Cavill. "I think Superman wouldn’t necessarily be upset about not being in charge, but it would be fun to play with."

Finally, the third member of DC's big screen trinity, Gal Gadot, offered a small hint about her upcoming Wonder Woman solo film, confirming that it will be an origin story.

"You’re gonna see a lot of [Wonder Woman], of course. Basically her coming of age. Her growing up story. Diana becoming Wonder Woman."

You can watch the entire red carpet interview right here:

Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2, 2017, while Justice League Part One is due out November 17, 2017. Affleck's untitled Batman film does not have a confirmed release date.
