Dope director Rick Famuyiwa has been chosen as the replacement director for Warner Bros.'s The Flash, according to Deadline. Ezra Miller is scheduled to reprise his role as Barry Allen/The Flash after first appearing in this year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

According to the online Hollywood trade, "the feeling internally was that Famuyiwa provided a vision that would resonate with young viewers and that vision was very compatible with the script that the studio is moving toward the start gate with."

Famuyiwa comes into The Flash after the departure of original director Seth Grahame-Smith, although his script will reportedly still be used for the film.

The Flash  is scheduled to be released March 16, 2018.
