Star Wars' Mark Hamill will add a new role to his resume when he becomes the host of Pop Culture Quest, a documentary-style series chronicling fans with pop culture collections on the newly launching Comic-Con HQ streaming video channel, reports Variety.
Comic-Con HQ is an on-demand video service by Comic-Con International: San Diego and Lionsgate that will launch this summer. Hamill's Pop Culture Quest is the latest original content announced for the service.
Here is a trailer:
“I’ve been a collector all my life,” Hamill explained. “This show is a natural outgrowth of that passion. Now I have an opportunity to collect other people’s collections! I can’t wait to see what’s out there and share it with the world.”
In 2004, Hamill directed and starred in a faux documentary called Comic Book: The Movie about a comic book fan who attends Comic-Con.
Pop Culture Quest premieres this fall, while Hamill will reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is due out in theaters December 15, 2017.
