20th Century Fox have announced some changes to its upcoming movie release schedule, impacting both its Maze Runner franchise as well as two mystery Marvel movies. First reported by Deadline, the January 12, 2018 20th Century Fox/Marvel movie has been pushed back to March 2, while the July 13, 2018 Fox/Marvel film has been moved up to June 29.

Wolverine 3 is the last 20th Century Fox/Marvel film scheduled, with a March 3, 2017. Given current information, the most logical candidates for these 2018 slots would be a Deadpool sequel and either the New Mutants or Gambit movies, which are both currently in script development with directors already attached.

Additional changes to 20th Century Fox's schedule include moving 2017's Maze Runner: The Death Cure back to January 12, 2018 due to an on-set injury to Dylan O'Brien. Shane Black's Predator was shifted up from March 2, 2018 to February 9, 2018, and James Cameron's Alita: Battle Angel was scheduled for July 20, 2018.
