Marvel Comics has released the solicitation for August's Daredevil Annual #1 in advance of next week's full August 2016 solicitations, reintroducing Echo as well as former series writer Roger McKenzie, co-writing with regular series writer Charles Soule.

Created by David Mack and Joe Quesada for 1999's Daredevil #9, Echo appeared frequently during Brian Michael Bendis' Daredevil run as well as early on in his Avengers run. The character's last major appearance was in Bendis' Moon Knight in 2012, with a cameo appearance in Deadpool #45.

Roger McKenzie is best known for writing Daredevil from 1978 to 1980, working with artist Frank Miller before the latter transitioned to writing and drawing the series himself. Daredevil Annual #1 would be McKenzie's first Marvel work in 29 years.

Here's the full solicitation text, but check back with Newsarama next week for the full August 2016 solicitations.
