Actor/director Ben Affleck's role in the DC Extended Universe is getting even larger: executive producing the two Justice League movies, according to Deadline. Affleck, who debuted as Batman in this year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and is primed to star and direct the upsoming standalone Batman movie, will work hand-in-hand with director Zack Snyder and screenwriter Chris Terrio on the development and execution of the Justice League films.

The Hollywood trade reports that the actor/director is taking on this role "to be supportive" of Snyder, whom he befriended while working together on BvS. Affleck has acted as a producer on movies and television series going as far back as 2001, both on films he appeared in or directed, as well as other projects.

The first Justice League is scheduled to be released November 17, 2017.
