Pearl Jam Music Video Art Book Comes To IDW

The Seattle Group’s Daring ‘Do The Evolution’ Music Video Evolves Into An Art Book

San Diego, CA (April 9, 2015) – IDW, in association with one of rock n’ roll’s greatest acts in history, proudly presents Pearl Jam: Do the Evolution.

Drawing inspiration from the Grammy Award nominated music video of the same name, Do the Evolution takes fans inside this unforgettable work of art. Directed by visionary comics legend Todd McFarlane (Spawn) and veteran animator Kevin Altieri (Batman: The Animated Series), this achievement in animation told a graphic and dark history of the world in four gripping minutes and is widely considered one of the best music videos of all time.

Now, the full story of the making of this historic video will be told in the Do the Evolution art book from IDW. Lushly illustrated by the video's striking animation cells with never before seen storyboards and designs from the video, the video's co-producer, Joe Pearson, will guide readers through the fascinating process of bringing the band’s vision to life in this one-of-a-kind art book.

Pearl Jam: Do the Evolution takes its next step into comic shops this October.

POWERPUFF GIRLS RETURN TO COMICS THIS JULY

The Powerpuff Girls Take Flight In A New Series From IDW

San Diego, CA (April 8, 2016) – Following the launch of a newly re-imagined animated series on Cartoon Network, The Powerpuff Girls will star in a series from IDW Publishing. The comic will follow the new adventures of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup based on the animation revival.

The comic will work as an extension of the cartoon and will be penned by staff writers Jake Goldman and Haley Mancini (who also provides the voice of arch-villainess Princess Morebucks). Rounding out the creative team is artist Derek Charm (Powerpuff Girls, Super Secret Crisis War, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy).

With crime rates at a low, the first issue finds the Powerpuff Girls fallen off the public’s radar as a result… making this the perfect time for arch nemesis Mojo Jojo to make a comeback and take the town by storm!

The Powerpuff Girls and IDW - - a perfect combo!” says Powerpuff Girls editor Sarah Gaydos. “Look forward to more fun with the Girls, as Derek, Haley, and Jake take us back to the city of Townsville!

Issue one will feature a subscription variant by artist Paulina Ganucheau (Dexter’s Laboratory, My Little Pony) and each retailer incentive cover will feature cover art by a Powerpuff Girls animator.

From Townsville, USA to your local comic shop, Powerpuff Girls #1 launches this July!
