20th Century Fox's Deadpool movie went meta with their post-credits scene, but according to director Tim Miller they originally had other ideas -- involving Knight Rider and the popular webseries Honest Trailers. Jennifer Miller, the director's wife, worked on the design of the end-credits along with creative director Norn Jordan, and came up with several ideas.
"But they had pitched a couple of great ideas that I was sorry we couldn’t do. There was a 1980s version of the titles, you know a Knight Rider-style version," Miller revealed to Art of the Title. "They pitched doing our own version of the Honest Trailers, where the guys go in and tell you everything that was wrong with the movie. I loved that idea! We actually wanted to get the guy who does them to do an Honest Trailers version of Deadpool and run it during the titles. I can’t wait until they do one! [laughs]"
Honest Trailers has been voiced by Jon Bailey since 2012, but the popular Screen Junkies series has yet to reveal a Deadpool edition. Might hard to make fun of a film that makes fun of itself.
