Fans are already speculating as to who might take over the role of James Bond when Daniel Craig inevitably exits, and now they have one more name to add to the list - Loki actor Tom Hiddleston says taking the role of Bond would be an "extraordinary opportunity."

“I’m a huge fan of the series. We all went to see Spectre when we were shooting Skull Island in Hawaii. I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. I love the whole thing,” Hiddleston told the Sunday Times (via Entertainment Weekly). “If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity.”

Hiddleston may have stiff competition for the role, if the opportunity does indeed present itself. Many fans have campaigned for Hiddleston's Thor co-star Idris Elba to take the role, though Elba has been cagey at best about the possibility.

Craig's latest turn as James Bond was in 2015's Spectre, and the actor has not yet signed on to do another film in the series.
