DC SUPER HERO GIRLS Title Gets A Sequel -- Before It Even Debuts

Although the first volume won't be out until July 5, DC Comics has announced that it's DC Super Hero Girls: Finals Crisis OGN will be getting a sequel. Titled DC Super Hero Girls: Hits & Myths, the follow-up volume is scheduled to come out November 2 with writer Shea Fontana and artist Yancey Labat returning.

"While learning about The Odyssey in Mister Etrigan’s poetry class, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl and their friends go on their own Odyssey-inspired journey where they face off with a Cyclops, seek help from a Witch, and evade the Siren before journeying to the underworld," reads the official description. "Can they help their teacher escape from Trigon's prison and return home? Find out in DC Super Hero Girls: Hits & Myths."

DC attributes the decision to do a sequel before the initial volume is even released to "increased anticipation from fans."

An advance preview of DC Super Hero Girls: Finals Crisis will be available in comic shops on Free Comic Book Day, May 7.
