Hot on the heels of the renewal of the animated series Vixen on CW Seed, there's word now that the character -- and actress Megalyn Echikunwoke -- could possibly get a recurring role in live action, possibly even as a solo series.

"Hopefully, [Vixen] could spin itself out. If not, maybe join as one of the Legends [of DC's Legends of Tomorrow]," said CW President Mark Pedowitz at the Television Critics Association press tour, according to ComicBookMovie.

Back in August, Pedowitz said that CW had no more room for any more DC Comics-based shows on the channel, even turning down Supergirl before CBS picked it up. CW currently has four shows -- Arrow, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and iZombie.

Echikunwoke will make her live-action debut as Vixen later this year in Arrow.
