An upcoming episode of CBS's Supergirl will be based on the classic story "For The Man Who Has Everything."

"Episode 13 is based on one of my favourite Superman stories, 'For the Man Who Has Everything,'" Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said at a Television Critics Association event (via ComicBook). "It's called 'For the Girl Who Has Everything,' and she wakes up on Krypton in this fantasy that nothing ever happened. I've literally been pitching this from this first episode!"

"For The Man Who Has Everything", by the Watchmen team of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, was published in Superman Annual #11. The story centers on Mongul gifting Superman with an alien plant called a "Black Mercy" that psychically attacks Superman. It has been adapted numerous times, including in Justice League Unlimited.

It is unclear who the villain in Supergirl's version would be, or if any other heroes would play a role in the story as Batman, Robin, and Wonder Woman did in the original tale.

Supergirl airs Monday nights on CBS, and will return Monday, January 18 from its midseason hiatus.
