20th Century Fox's Gambit film will begin shooting this March in New Orleans, reports ABC news affiliate WGNO. Channing Tatum has been cast to play the title role in the film, with Spectre actress Lea Seydoux playing Belladnona Boudreaux.
The film, currently scheduled for release October 7 was originally planned to begin shooting last November, but the last-minute departure of director Rupert Wyatt led 20th Century Fox to delay the shooting schedule. Bourne Identity director Doug Liman was later hired as a replacement.
The studio hasn't made an announcement about the release date being pushed back as of yet.
