CBS has ordered seven more episodes for Supergirl's first season. The freshman show will now air through spring 2016, and the additional order gives confidence to those hoping for a second season. CBS also ordered additional episodes for Limitless, Code Black and Life In Pieces.

Supergirl debuted with 12.96m viewers, tying Blindspot for the highest rated premiere of the year. Since then however, the Melissa Benoist-fronted show has settled into ratings in the mid 7s. CBS notes that Supergirl's ratings are still 46% better than what aired in its timeslot last year.

Monday's "Red Faced" is Supergirl's sixth episode, with one more planned before a holiday break.
