Fox's LUCIFER Debut Date, GAME OF THRONES Actor Joins GHOST IN THE SHELL, More

Deadline reports that Fox's Lucifer will make its debut on Monday, January 25 at 9 p.m. EST. The series premiere will air just after the returning X-Files' premiere, and when Gotham returns from its winter break on February 29 it will be a one-two punch of DC fare.

Scarlett Johansson's live action Ghost In The Shell has found its leading man in Game of Thrones actor Pilou Asbæk. 

According to Variety, Asbæk will play Batou, right-hand man and muscle for Johansson's Major Kusanagi.

Ghost In The Shell is scheduled to hit theaters on March 31, 2017.

Scholastic's AMULET Optioned For Film

20th Century Fox has acquired the rights to Kazu Kibuishi's Scholastic graphic novel series Amulet, according to Deadline.

The series of OGN's launched in the US in 2008, and won the American Library Association's award for Best Book For Young Adults. Amulet has sold over 2 million copies worldwide.

Amulet tells the story of a young girl named Emily and her family as they explore a hidden world of magic and mystery.

No timeframe or further details for the adaptation have been announced.
