WARNING: Possible Spoilers Ahead For Star Wars: The Force Awakens (although that may be a bit presumptious)

A new holiday commercial titled "The Battle For Christmas Morning" features a family using Duracell batteries to power Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys. Things quickly take a leap out of the imagination, putting the family's two children into real conflict with Stormtroopers and AT-AT's.

But we noticed something interesting about the family's daughter - specifically, her role in the Stormtrooper fight. It seems she's dressed in a spot-on rendition of Rey's outfit from Star Wars: The Force Awakens - and she's using the Force like a pro.

Now, this could just be a toy commercial using creative licensing to show a brother and sister getting in on some Jedi action, or it could be an indication of an unrevealed plot development in The Force Awakens.

After all, in Star Wars costumes are iconography. The distinct likenesses of the characters of Star Wars are definitive and important. Lucasfilm and Disney no doubt exert strong control over the imagery that goes into their marketing efforts, and having someone dressed like one character while using the powers of another is a very un-Lucasfilm thing to do. Could you imagine them having one with Chewbacca using the Force?

On top of that, the lightsaber the girl is seen using looks almost identical to Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from Return of the Jedi. With so much of the rumored plot of The Force Awakens dealing with lost lightsabers, this might not be a coincidence.

So could this be an early sign that Daisy Ridley's Rey will develop Force powers of her own? We'll find out when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18.
