AGENT CARTER Casts KURTWOOD SMITH For Recurring Role

Veteran actor Kurtwood Smith has been cast for a recurring role in the new season of ABC's Agent Carter, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Described as a "major" part, Smith will reportedly play an original character not from comic books named Vernon Masters. Masters is is a verteran of the United States' War Department.

Smith worked with Agent Carter's showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters on their previous series Resurrection. The actor is well-known for playing Red Forman, the father in That 70's Show, along with original Robocop film's primary antagonist, Clarence Boddicker. He has voiced characters in numerous superhero animated series.

Agent Carter is scheduled to return for its second season in early 2016.
