Though it spent many years in development as a feature film, Tim Seeley's Hack/Slash is reportedly now being developed for the small screen.

According to Heat Vision, Relativity Media's new television division, has optioned Hack/Slash for development as a television series. Screenwriter Skip Woods (Swordfish, Hitman) will reportedly pen the show, as well as executive produce.

Created by Tim Seeley and artist Stefano Caselli, Hack/Slash tells the story of Cassie Hack, the lone survivor of a massacre who travels the country taking down slashers in the vein of Michael Myers and Freddie Krueger. The producers are reportedly aiming to mirror the vibe of AMC's The Walking Dead.

No actors have been attached to the production, which has yet to find a network home.
