The question of who would be under the mask in the Marvel's upcoming Spider-Man film reboot has been answered for some time - it's a teenage Peter Parker as played by Tom Holland, for those of you keeping score - but the question has remained as to whether Peter's Ultimate Universe counterpart Miles Morales might show up in some form.
That's the very question posed to the film's director, Jon Watts, by Yahoo! UK.
“I can’t talk about that, because, you know, that will reveal too much,” said Watts. “We’re still writing the story…we haven’t finished all the way through the story yet, so who knows.”
That's anything but a confirmation... or a denial. Watts and Marvel haven't been exactly forthcoming with new information about the film, so most likely Watts is playing it cagey on purpose. But his words do leave the possibility that Miles might make it into the final script in some fashion.
The untitled Spider-Man reboot is scheduled for a July 28, 2017 release, while Holland will debut as the webslinger in next summer's Captain America: Civil War.
