Variety reports that longtime Marvel Studios producer Victoria Alonso has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Physical Production.
Alonso began working with Marvel shortly before 2008's Iron Man, overseeing visual effects for all Marvel films. In 2012, she graduated to full executive producer with Avengers, continuing on through subsequent films.
Alonso's new duties will include overseeing all physical production, post-production and production technical operations for Marvel. According to Variety, Alonso is one of only a few women to have ever held this position at a major studio.
