Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg offered a series of one word insghts on where Flash season 2 will take the show's main cast in a Entertainment Weekly interview . Flash season 2 finds Central City open to another world, Earth-2, where a totally different Flash, Jay Garrick, fights an entity named "Zoom." Zoom sets out to kill Barry Allen by sending criminals from Earth-2 to defeat him.'

In a word association type exercise, Kreisberg had the following bits to say about each character:

Barry Allen: “New love.”

Iris West: “Face from the past.”

Caitlin Snow: “Brrrr.”

Cisco Ramon: “Metahuman.”

Harrison Wells: “Alive?”

Joe West: “Stalwart.”

Ronnie Raymond: “Bravery.”

Henry Allen: “Heart.”

Jay Garrick: “Broken.”

Patty Spivot: “Delightful.”

Meanwhile, Arrow co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim spoke about where Arrow season 4 finds one of the shows previous "big bads," Malcolm Merlyn, whose daughter Thea Queen was ressurected in the Lazarus Pit in season 3.

“The best way to put it is its father knows worst,” said Guggenheim. “Malcolm comes into the story very much more in the role of Thea’s father than in the role of the Head of the League of Assassins. It’s so much fun to play with Malcolm as dad because his choices are just very unusual. Much to the chagrin of Thea, he doesn’t handle things the way a typical father would.”

Flash season 2 premieres October 6 on CW, while Arrow premieres the following night, October 7, on the same network.
