For years, William Shatner took viewers on a cruise of the spaceways as James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise in Star Trek -- and now, fans can boldly go with him on his next voyage.

Entertainment Cruise Productions, LLC has announced the first official Star Trek cruise will set off January 2017 for a 6-day voyage around the Caribbean, complete with a visit to an "official Star Trek island" based on the planet Risa.

“I am excited to be the host of Star Trek: The Cruise,” says William Shatner. “When I was told that this was the first authorized Star Trek cruise and part of the 50th anniversary celebration, I just knew that my participation would be something that our fans would enjoy. It should be a lot of fun.”

Joining Shatner on this cruise is an assortment of Star Trek alumni from various shows, including Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes, Robert Picado, John de Lancie, James Darren, Denise Crosby, Steven Rankin, Vaughn Armstrong and Casey Biggs.

In addition to several exclusive signing events, the Star Trek cruise will have events such as "An Evening with William Shatner," Frankes and Sirtis performing "Love Letters," a Star Trek-style Family Feud with Picardo, Crosby doing a tap dancing act and wine tastings, and a masquerade ball by Q, aka John de Lancie.

Tickets can be purchased at StarTrekTheCruise.com.
