The Hollywood Reporter reports that Mad Max: Fury Road star Tom Hardy is set to produce and possibly star in a big screen adaptation of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso's 100 Bullets series published by DC's Vertigo imprint.
100 Bullets ran for 100 issues and told the story of a mysterious man named Agent Graves who offered people a chance to get revenge on those who wronged them. A subsequent series, Brother Lono, was recently released.
If this report is accurate, Hardy will produce the film under his production banner Hardy Son and Baker, alongside co-producer Dean Baker. A script has reportedly been completed. While details of the film's story are scarce, the report states that it will hew close to the source material.
100 Bullets is the first Vertigo project to move forward with New Line since the studio took over management of the Vertigo imprint's film properties. No release date has been set.
