Fans will finally get to see 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four reboot starting tonight, but as it turns out, they've already had an influence on the film.

SPOILERS Ahead for the FANTASTIC FOUR movie.

Doctor Doom actor Toby Kebbel revealed in an interview with Collider that at least some of the reshoots the film underwent were due to fan backlash - primarily over the name of his character.

Months ago, Kebbel said in an interview that his character's name had been changed from Victor Von Doom to Victor Domashev. Advance reviews have revealed that Fox went back on that, calling the character by his original, comic book name. According to Kebbel, that change happened largely due to the unpopular fan reaction to the new name.

"I think the fans heard that, and said 'It's got to be Doom!' and they knew that," said Kebbel of the change.

Kebbel also jokingly mentioned that some of the appearances of Doom in the movie could in fact be just a Doombot and not actually him.

"I feel like there's already a Doombot, but I can't say that. Maybe it was already a Doombot! Maybe it wasn't even me! Who knows?"

Fantastic Four opens wide August 7, 2015.
