One of the major additions Ant-Man made to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was the introduction of the Quantum Realm; but what about Fantastic Four's Quantum Gate? That term is brought up again in an in-story faux Department of Defense video released to promote Fantastic Four, and given the prominence of the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man raises some interesting questions.
Take a look:
While the shared use of the word "Quantum"doesn't mean that 20th Century Fox's Fantastic Four is being tied into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the introduction of a Quantum Realm and now a Quantum Gate -- two new terms that didn't originate in the source comic books -- is intriguing. 20th Century Fox has mentioned the Quantum Gate briefly in previous marketing, but the promotion of it now in this video in light of Ant-Man's release and talk of a crossover between Fantastic Four and X-Men make another possible crossover come to mind.
Is it coincidence, or something more?
