Speaking with Nerdist about his upcoming graphic novel Wonder Woman: Earth One, Grant Morrison shared his vision of the Amazonian princess, which is at odds with the version presented in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

“I sat down and I thought, ‘I don’t want to do this warrior woman thing,'" said Morrison of Wonder Woman: Earth One. “I can understand why they’re doing it, I get all that, but that’s not what [Wonder Woman creator] William Marston wanted, that’s not what he wanted at all! His original concept for Wonder Woman was an answer to comics that he thought were filled with images of blood-curdling masculinity, and you see the latest shots of Gal Gadot in the costume, and it’s all sword and shield and her snarling at the camera.”

Morrison and artist Yanick Paquette's Wonder Woman: Earth One is due out in April 2016, while Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is set for release on March 25, 2016.

SAM RAIMI Weighs In On SPIDER-MAN Reboot

In an interview with MTV, former Spider-Man director Sam Raimi shared his thoughts on Marvel and Sony's upcoming joint reboot.

"I'm really glad that Marvel's taking it to high school," said Raimi. "I think that's gonna be refreshing, and just like my favorite of the Spider-Man comic books. And I have a lot of faith that they really know their stuff."

Speaking about which aspects of the Spider-Man franchise he wanted to see explored on film, Raimi reiterated his feelings about the high school direction of Marvel's reboot, saying "I'd like to go into his high school life, and his relationships with Gwen Stacy, I love Flash Thompson. The drama, the difficulty of going through high school is so unique to a superhero. It's unique, and that's what Spider-Man's all about. So that they're gonna explore that head on is very exciting."

Raimi also said, of Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man 2, "I saw them both. They were great."
