SUICIDE SQUAD's Enchantress Not Enchanted With Superhero Movies

Speaking to Empire (via Yahoo), Suicide Squad actress Cara Delevigne has slammed superhero movies as being "totally sexist." Delevigne plays the Enchantress in Suicide Squad, and seems to infer it's the exception.

"There are only three girls in [Suicide Squad] but in my opinion they have the best roles. Generally though, superhero movies are totally sexist."

The model/actor goes on to discuss tropes of superheroine designs originating from comic books, calling them impractical.

"Female superheroes are normally naked or in bikinis. No one would be able to fight like that," said  Delevigne. "Wonder Woman, how the hell does she fight? She would be dead in a minute.”

Suicide Squad is set for release August 5, 2016.

SCHWARZENEGGER Reveals Plot Details For LEGEND OF CONAN

According to Nerd Report, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed some plot details of the long-rumored Legend Of Conan at a press junket for his upcoming film Terminator: Genisys.

“I was hoping to do another one and I was hoping that the idea of Conan having been king for a long time, then just threw it all away and went into retirement and went off into the mountains,” said Schwarzenegger. “That whole idea always appealed to me. Then of course he gets asked back because of some hideous and unbelievable things that are happening to the kingdom. So that’s when the battle begins again.”

Slash Film expanded on the idea, drawing quotes from an old interview with Conan screenwriter Chris Morgan, who said “I want the warrior whose joints have started to fuse together, who has to crack the cartilage so he can pick up a sword again. I want the guy who’s not necessarily lost a step, but there’s some rust he has to shake off. I want to embrace that. It makes it a greater hero story. Conan needs to be faced with challenges. The greatest challenge to him isn’t the armies that are set before him. It’s, on some level, self-doubt, a little bit of slowing down and forcing yourself to be heroic beyond what people expect of you. What I don’t want is for him to step back in and look the same. That would defeat the purpose of our story.”

No release date has been set for Legend Of Conan.
