A French superhero comic is coming to America, the origin of super-heroes.
The BOOM! Studios imprint Archaia Press has announced a new miniseries titled Freaks' Squeele to launch in June. Written and drawn by Florent Maudoux, Freaks' Squeele was originally published in France by Ankama and will be translated here in English for the first time. In France, Maudoux has created seven volumes of Freaks' Squeele as well as several spin-off series.
Here is the solicitation for the debut issue, followed by sample pages of the original French edition:

What’s to Love: Continuing Archaia’s tradition of producing English translations of some of the world’s best stories, Freaks’ Squeele combines elements of European comics, manga, and American superhero comics into a fun story that fans of X-Men, Teen Titans, and Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner’s Power Girl will enjoy.
What It Is: Chance, a demon girl; Wolfshade, a werewolf; and Xiong Mao, who has no superpowers at all, are students at a mediocre school for superheroes. They get no respect from their peers or professors, but they just may be the only thing that stands between civilization and the strangest, spookiest monsters you’ve seen in any comic!
