Hot on the heels of DC departing New York for the sun-soaked California coast, Marvel has announced a series of variant covers showcasing its New York City roots.

Announced in a New York Times article, Marvel will be releasing 15 NYC-themed variant covers in May that show Marvel heroes interacting with various city landmarks.

"Each cover is carefully considered to make a statement about New York,”says Marvel Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso in the New York Times piece.

Four of the variants have been revealed thusfar, with images such as the Hulk lounging in Central Park, Ant-Man at a hot dog stand, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. flying near the Statue of Liberty, and Daredevil swinging down Broadway.

Interestingly, no mention is made of both Ant-Man and Daredevil recently moving away from New York City to San Francisco and Miami.
