Last summer, Evan Peters played the first version of Quicksilver to hit the big screen in X-Men: Days of Future Past, in a lightning quick cameo that stole the show. Now, Peters speaks to I Am Rogue about the chances Quicksilver will return in Brian Singer's upcoming sequel X-Men: Apocalypse.
Though co-writer Simon Kinberg confirmed Quicksilver's return even before the release of Days of Future Past, Peters was less quick to open up, saying "I think so, yes. I assume it as well, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to say and not supposed to say," Peters went on to state that he had yet to see a script, adding that his filming schedule had not yet been worked out.
X-Men: Apocalypse is in pre-production, and is scheduled for a May 27, 2016 release, and sees Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy reprise their roles as Magneto and Professor X, with Hugh Jackman also returning as Wolverine.
Meanwhile, Nashville actress Laura Benanti has been cast as Kara Zor-El's mother, Alura Zor-El in Greg Berlanti's upcoming Supergirl pilot, at CBS. According to Deadline, Alura is a noblewoman who allows Kara to escape the doomed Krypton and reach Earth.
Benanti joins Melissa Benoist, who stars as the titular Supergirl/Kara Zor-El.
