EISNER AWARDS Announce Two Hall of Fame Inductions & 13 Nominees Including Miller, Claremont & Byrne

The Eisner Awards have announced two new additions to its' Hall of Fame, as well as thirteen nominees for inclusion. Little Lulu creator Marjorie "Marge" Henderson Buell and Katy Keene creator Bill Woggon were chosen by this year's judges for automatic inclusion. Four more will be chosen by eligible voters from the 13 others nominated.

The 13 nominees are: Lynda Barry, John Byrne, Chris Claremont, Howard Cruse, Kim Deitch, Matt Groening, Denis Kitchen, Frank Miller, Francoise Mouly, Paul S. Newman, Lily Renée Peters Phillips, Bob Powell, and Frank Robbins.

Voting for this category is open now, but limited to working comics creators, publishers, editors, retailers, librarians, historians and educators. The deadline for voting is March 31, 2015. The full list of Hall of Fame inductees will be announced Friday, July 10 at an awards ceremony during Comic-Con International: San Diego.
