After making his "New 52" debut recently in The New 52: Futures End, is Mister Miracle prepping to become a part of the Justice League? That's one way of looking at it, based on Geoff Johns' Instagram post on Monday evening. Calling is "reading reference," Johns posted the below image and name-checked his Justice League artist Jason Fabok. The series is currently prepping for "The Darkseid War" arc, and Mr. Miracle has deep connections with Darkseid and the various New Gods characters, so odds are Mr. Miracle will appear, if not being given member status.

The comics visible are 1971's Mister Miracle #2, 1987's Mister Miracle Special #1,  and 1989's Mister Miracle #1. In late December, Johns made another Mister Miracle-related Instagram post, highlighting a illustration by Ming Doyle redesigning Big Barda. But for that post he says nothing about the character, but rather his goal to work with Doyle in 2015.
