Bobbi Morse is headed to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. beginning with the October 21 episode, “A Hen in the Wolf House,” but she'll be doing it as a brunette and with an altered past compared to her blond comic book counterpart.

EW has the first look at Adrianne Palicki as Morse/Mockingbird, with the unfamiliar hair color (although the comic book character who would eventually evolve into the current version of Mockingbird actually debuted as a brunette.) EW describes the TV Bobbi Morse as the "head of Hydra Security and the future Mockingbird."

The "head of Hydra security" thing is a complete break from the comic book version and while it calls into question her loyalty in her first appearance, it's still likely the character will eventually defect to the S.H.I.E.L.D. side.

KREE Show Up On Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Again

And speaking of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., eagle-eyed viewers (like EW’s Natalie Abrams) may have noticed there was another 0-8-4 artifact of significance in the Tuesday night season premiere. The Howling Commandos didn’t just find that mysterious metal, but also who it may have belonged to - as a blue alien with those now-familiar markings was in one of those other boxes.

What Abrams did not catch, however, was that Chloe Bennett, who plays Skye on the show, confirmed that the mysterious blue alien whose blood has been injected into both Skye and Coulson is, in fact, a Kree - way back in March. Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb told EW “we don’t put anything there by accident,” so expect the Kree body to show up again as the mystery continues to unfold this season.

Finally, speaking of the season premiere of S.H.I.E.L.D., it opened to overnight ratings of 1.9/6 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall, 60% off 2013 series premiere, which nobody expected it come close to, but essentially static with the ratings it finished season one with.
