The tight-lipped stars and closed set of Star Wars: Episode VII got just a tiny bit looser when Oscar Isaac sat down with EW to talk about another upcoming movie of his, The Two Faces of January. Next to nothing is known about the characters outside of the original trio and supporting cast who have returned for the film, but now we know that Isaac’s character at least shares screen time with Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford.
”Yes, I have,” he said in response to a question about interactions with the actors. “They’re such funny people. Carrie is hilarious and doing such cool work. Harrison is back. He went on hiatus for a little while, but he’s 150 percent back. It’s pretty amazing to see him bounce back. He looks incredible. Everyone’s having a really good time. J.J. sets that tone.” The actor said that there’s “enthusiasm” and “a lot of heart” to the shoot, and no cynicism.
He also mentioned scenes with “hundreds of Stormtroopers and hundreds of extras and all the ships,” noting that Abrams is doing, as previously reported, as much on-camera practical effects work as possible. “You actually see it. It’s all real. Everyone can interact with the world.”
So, large Stormtrooper army, and Isaac’s mystery character has some kind of interaction with Leia and Han. Check two more boxes in the Star Wars question mark list.
