Marvel is not going to let the Dark Horse Star Wars "Legends" stories stay out of print for long. In April 2015, just four months into the license for Star Wars comics coming back to Marvel, they'll be releasing their first "Epic Collection," a 440 page, $35 trade paperback that brings several Dark Horse Star Wars comics together. The "Legends" tag is what Lucasfilm is putting upon all of the original "Expanded Universe" stories in comics and novels.

The first book is Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: The Empire Vol 1 TPB, so you'll be forgiven if you don't ask for it by its exact name. The series will collect a group of series by writers like Randy Stradley, Haden Blackman, and Alexander Freed. The full collection contains:

STAR WARS: REPUBLIC 78-80, STAR WARS: PURGE 1, STAR WARS: PURGE — SECONDS TO DIE 1, STAR WARS: PURGE — THE HIDDEN BLADE 1, STAR WARS: PURGE — THE TYRANT'S FIST 1-2, STAR WARS: DARTH VADER AND THE LOST COMMAND 1-5, STAR WARS: DARK TIMES 1-5

“We’re thrilled to be bringing our innovative Epic Collections to a galaxy far, far away,” says Marvel SVP Sales & Marketing David Gabriel in a press release. “We’ll be bouncing around to different periods of Star Wars history with each Epic Collection, constructing one huge tapestry, collecting full unbroken runs of all the greatest Star Wars comics from the past 35 years.”
