BOOM! Goes Deeper with Fox

BOOM! Studios has deepened their relationship with Fox, this time signing with the TV division. A new first-look deal with 20th Century Fox TV will allow them to develop television projects from every BOOM! imprint, including the all-ages KaBOOM!, and the marquee graphic novel imprint Archaia. BOOM! CEO Ross Richie and President of Development (and former Archaia head) Stephen Christy will work with the studio as Eps on any projects.

No, Feige Didn’t Change his Tune on Black Panther and Captain Marvel

There seems to be a bit of confusion on the internet this week, as IGN posted an interview from late July with Kevin Feige onto YouTube for the first time. Because of the timing, people thought it was a direct response to comments made previously to outlets like CBR, where Feige said that while they know fans are talking about things like Captain Marvel and Black Panther, he doesn’t know if they will put a “franchise on hold for three or four years in order to introduce a new one.”

The IGN interview was not, as some have implied, in direct response. In fact, it was originally posted directly on IGN in their video player about a week before the CBR one (go to the 7:25 mark). So while there has been “development work” that “has been done,” it doesn’t mean these projects are being announced, at least not just yet. Still, at least we know people are talking about these things.

A similar confusion happened across several sites (not including Newsarama) a couple of weeks ago, when many outlets cited a Variety story about Aquaman casting from months ago to confirm the same story.

FLASH Facts with Supporting Cast

The supporting cast of The Flash did a fan Q&A at Comic-Con, and two videos of them answering fan questions were released yesterday. Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, and John Wesley Shipp talk about being in the show, speculate on romantic entanglements, and talk about eating lots of donuts. Yup!
