It's awesome as a comic book fan to see your favorite characters and stories come to life. The Walking Dead on AMC has been incredibly close to its original comic book form in tone, not to mention gore and violence - some vile things have happened on that show.

But sometimes, the limitations of basic cable do rear their ugly heads. While it's perfectly okay to drop a head of a living person onto the ground, it's not, according to the powers-that-be at AMC, to drop an F-bomb. That situation presented itself at the end of Season 4 of the show, when Rick was delivering a line directly from the pages of the comics. It's a powerful line, and one punctuated by the use of that particular four-letter word. (Newsarama Note: originally the article said the word change was due to the FCC, but they don't have direct jurisdiction over AMC or other basic cable networks. The decision to use or not use that particular word rests solely with AMC)

And in the show, it was instead presented with "screwing," because it's basic cable.

Well, an intrepid YouTuber has posted what he says is the original version of the scene, with the F-bomb intact. There's been no verification that this was actually recorded this way and not simply dubbed over, but either way, it's fun to see. Check out the original page it's taken from here, too - obviously for Mature Readers only.
