The Marvel Television panel just concluded at Comic-Con International: San Diego, and with it came several bits of information on new castmembers -- and some all-star directors -- for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  and Agent Carter. The biggest news of all was, of course, saved for the end when Agent Koenig (played by Patton Oswalt) revealed in a preview of Season 2 that Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird) would be joining the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. team. Here is that video:

Although the casting of Bobbi Morse was not revealed, other new actors joining the show -- as well as the roles they were playing -- were announced. Action TV veteran Reed Diamond (Homicide: Life on the Streets, 24, Dollhouse) will be the "Big Bad" of the new season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Kraken from Marvel's Secret Warriors comic series. Another comics character iscoming to life with MI6 special agent Lance Hunter, who will be played by British actor Nick Blood. Also, Marvel revealed the role for the previously announced Lucy Lawless on the series --  a "longtime S.H.I.E.L.D. agent" named Isabel Hartley.

Attendees to the panel got something special in the form of special "Level 7" lanyards which will give the owners access to what Clark Gregg called "unseen season 1 missions," which are in fact blooper reels.

On the Agent Carter side of things, Marvel Studios' co-President Louis D'Esposito announced that Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo (who are also directing the third Captain America movie) will be returning to television to direct the second and third episodes of Agent Carter. D'Esposito, who directed the One-Shot, directing the pilot. D'Esposito goes on to state that Captain America: The First Avenger director John Johnston has expressed interest in directing the fourth episode. Agent Carter showrunners Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas have previously stated that filming is expected to begin in September 2014.
