First Look: Marvel's '1 in 52' DEADPOOL #34 3D Variant

Every now and again Marvel Comics likes to poke their inner-city rival DC Comics with a pointed stick, often through the fourth-wall-breaking, meta superhero Deadpool.

In September they're going to do it again, having a little fun with DC's now second annual 3D cover event also in September with a Mark Brooks-drawn 3D motion (i.e. lenticular) variant cover to Deadpool #34. According to Marvel, '3D' in this case stands for "Dashingly Dancing Deadpool."

For extra meta-synergy, whereas DC's September Futures End event goes five years into the future, Deadpool #34 features an inventory story that flashes back to the 90s.

Oh, and it's an incentive variant, and comic book retailers can order 1 3D cover for every 52 copies of the standard version they order.

Get it?
