Ever since Mark Ruffalo took over the role as Bruce Banner/Hulk in 2012’s Avengers, fans have been wondering if and when Marvel would re-launch the Hulk movie franchise. According to an interview with Ruffalo earlier Tuesday, a new solo Hulk film is in discussion at the Moviehouse of Ideas for the first time in his tenure as the Green Goliath.
“I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it,” Ruffalo tells Digital Spy in an video interview. “When we did The Avengers it was basically ‘No!’, and now there is some consideration for it.”
Ruffalo is careful to qualify this new information by saying there is “nothing definitive,” but the actor says he would “look forward to going down that road…”
Ruffalo reprised his Avengers role as Bruce Bannerfor a brief cameo in 2013’s Iron Man 3, and said he would be up for doing more in a future Iron Man film, if and when Marvel puts one into production.
"If they do Iron Man 4 and Banner's in that, that would be great," he said.
Ruffalo is currently filming 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron.
